The Beautiful Refrigerator is Empty is a scalable cabaret-style performance event starring Ms. Teena Geist, a fourteen-year-old girl with a severe attitude problem. Loosely based on The Beautiful Room is Empty, Edmund White's seminal autobiographical novel, the performance explores and explodes tropes of confessional solo performance, queer self-representation, and coming-of-age stories.
